Before choosing an ice tray, measure the space where it will actually sit. A few quick checks can help you compare product dimensions with your freezer shelf or drawer.
Measure the usable space
- Measure the usable width where the tray will sit.
- Measure the usable depth from front to back.
- Measure the usable height, including any drawer lip, rail or shelf above the tray.
Compare all three dimensions
For a given orientation, the available width, depth and height each need to be at least as large as the tray. Also account for vents, rails, uneven walls and the room needed to place and remove it.
A real size example
One Sable & Spoon product example is Double-Layer Ice Tray — Almond Pink. Product size: 21 × 13.5 × 14.5 cm. Package contents: 1 ice tray.

Recheck the exact spot before you decide
Freezer interiors can be irregular. If your measurements are close, check the exact shelf or drawer again before choosing any tray.
